Eric Lopez, a highly motivated Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Michael S. Mr. Lopez began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, including gunpoint robberies, felony assaults, burglaries, felony possession of weapons and attempted murders. After leaving the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Lopez joined a well-regarded insurance defense firm where he defended against claims of premises liability. Prior to joining the law firm, Mr. Lopez was at a well-known Personal Injury law firm where he aggressively litigated cases on behalf of Plaintiffs.
He received his Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School in 2015. While at Columbia, he was a staffer of the Human Rights Law Review and the Executive Editor of the Spanish Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual, the Spanish translation of a handbook for individuals in prison to know and exercise their rights. Mr. Lopez graduated with High Honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2012 with degrees in Political Science and Anthropology. Mr. Lopez is licensed to practice in the state of New York.
