In February 2024, Mr. Lesnevec obtained a $1,637,500 Westchester County jury verdict for a victim of a slip and fall on ice. After obtaining 100% liability against the gas station during the liability phase, the defendant and its insurance carrier remained at a no pay, forcing Mr. Lesnevec to take another successful verdict.
In November 2023, Mr. Lesnevec achieved a $10,000,000 jury verdict for a victim of a three mile per hour side impact car crash. Mr. Lesnevec confidently advised our client to reject a $175,000 offer for her single shoulder arthroscopic surgery prior to closing arguments before the jury. This verdict was one of New Jersey’s highest personal injury verdicts of all time.
In February 2020, Mr. Lesnevec obtained a $9 million dollar jury verdict for a victim of a false arrest and assault resulting in a traumatic brain injury. The pretrial offer by the City of New York was only $50,000 to settle the case. Mr. Lesnevec’s verdict was ranked as the third highest verdict in the State of New York and the fifty-first highest verdict in the country for the year 2020.
Education and accomplishments
Mr. Lesnevec earned his Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, a consistently top 20 ranked law school. Prior to law school, Mr. Lesnevec earned both a bachelors and master’s degree in criminology.
During law school Mr. Lesnevec clerked for a federal magistrate judge in the Southern District of Illinois, where he worked on civil rights cases. He also spent his time participating in moot court competitions and was a member of Washington University’s national mediation team. At law school, Mr. Lesnevec was published by the American Bar Association and was awarded the top grade in numerous classes.
